Bitcoin Drops to $35,600, Peter Schiff Expects a “Flash Crash” Soon
Bitcoin’s ongoing decline has not gone unnoticed by flagship coin crypto influencers, including Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific Capital. In his tweet on Friday, Schiff shared his thoughts on Bitcoin’s decline into the $35,600 zone and predicted that BTC will undergo a flash crash once it falls below the $30,000 level. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $33,649 according to CoinMarketCap.
Gold Bug also commented on the losses suffered by the share price of MicroStrategy (MSTR), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest (ARKK). MSTR is down 14% and GBTC and ARKK are both down 55% from their recent highs.

On Friday, Input Output Global announced that a new version of Daedalus Flight software, Daedalus Flight 4.8.0, is finally out. The new release fully supports Cardano node v1.33.0 and enables the Cardano node runtime system (RTS), allowing Cardano performance to consume less memory on computers with less than 16 GB of RAM. Daedalus Flight allows seasoned Cardano enthusiasts to experiment with the protocol’s new features before their public release.
SHIB recovers 40% from recent low, surpasses MATIC
The final day of the weekend started well for Shiba Inu as the dog currency managed to recover 40% from its lowest level since Oct. 6. Also, according to CoinMarketCap, SHIB surpassed Polygon’s MATIC to become the 15th largest coin by market cap.
The rally didn’t last long though – SHIB is currently switching hands for $0.00001917 and losing its winnings in just one day.
Mike Novogratz Proposes $1 Million BTC Prize Bet
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz seems to disagree with the uber-bearish Bitcoin price predictions. That’s why he offered the most outspoken BTC critic, Peter Schiff, a $1 million bet on his recent prediction that the crypto market is going to crash. Novogratz is ready to bet Bitcoin will trade above the $35,000 level in a year and to donate $1 million to charity if he’s wrong. Schiff has not yet responded to the offer.
