Futurama is alive! Hulu brings the cartoon back in 2023

(Pocket Ribbon) – Futurama is back again.

Disney’s Hulu is breathing new life into the animated series, according to Varietywho claimed the US-based streaming service has ordered 20 new episodes and plans to release them all next year.

This is the fourth time the series has returned after being cancelled. It was first discontinued after four seasons on Fox in 2003. But Comedy Central picked it up again for four direct-to-DVD movies. Then, in 208, the network molded those films into the fifth season before being given the go-ahead for two additional Futurua seasons to air between 2010 and 2013.

“It’s a real honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama one more time before being abruptly canceled again,” series creator Matt Groening told Variety.
