Condom meaning

A condom (sometimes misspelled as Kondom) is a protective barrier device designed to prevent women from becoming pregnant by preventing sperm from reaching the urethra and fertilizing the eggs and both males and females of STDs during sexual intercourse.

There are both male and female condoms.

Contraception was the main reason for the invention of condoms.

What are condoms used for?

There are two primary uses of condom:

Birth control

It is used to reduce the risk of pregnancy (pregnancy) during sex.

Prevention of STDs

They are effective in preventing Sexually Transmitted Infections such as AIDS, genital herpes, cervical cancer, genital warts, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc., in both men and women to spread.

Condom effectiveness

A condom is safe to use.

The degree of breakage is between 0.4% and 2.3% while the degree of slip is between 0.6% and 1.3%.

According to a study, the chance of getting pregnant is a pregnancy rate of 2% per year.

With normal use, the pregnancy rate is 18% per year.

Side Effects of Condom Use

There is only one major side effect of a condom and that is skin irritation caused by latex, which occurs in people with a latex allergy.

In people with severe latex allergies, using a latex condom can be life-threatening.

Irritation occurs due to the presence of spermicides.

11 Different Types of Condoms You Didn’t Know About

I bet you didn’t know there are different types of condoms available online? I was also shocked to find out while searching for information on this topic.

And another thing that will make you laugh when you see the number 11 type. haha.

1. Latex

Most condoms are made of latex that is extracted from rubber. Latex is used because it has excellent elastic properties.

It can be stretched up to 800%. That’s huge.

2. Latex-free

Non-latex are made of polyurethane. They are considered safer than latex. It is less allergenic than latex and has no odor.

3. Lamb skin

As the name suggests, they are made from lamb gut and not skin.

They are quite effective as a contraceptive, but not safe enough to stop the transmission of STDs.

4. Spermicide

They are made only of latex, but have nonoxynol-9, a spermicidal chemical, as a lubricant. They have an added advantage.

5. Female Condoms

Designed for the woman, this is not so protective, can lead to pregnancy 30-35 out of 100 women who use them.

One advantage is that it can be during the menstrual cycle.

One can also wear it up to 8 hours before sex.

6. Lubricated Condoms

Normal condoms are lubricated with a special chemical solution, mainly water-based, to make sex smoother and less painful.

7. Ultra-thin

These are less thick than the available ones.

8. Glow in the dark condoms

They practically do not glow otherwise they fall under a novelty.

These condoms need to be held up to the light for about 30 seconds to make them glow

9. Flavored Condoms

Same as latex, but it has a flavored coating like chocolate, banana, strawberries, etc.

Their main goal is to make oral sex enjoyable for the female counterpart. It was introduced because nobody likes the taste of rubber.

10. Pleasure Shaped

As you can get an idea from the name itself, they have different shapes. These are also women-oriented.

11. Edible Condoms

These are actually new products for adults. This serves no purpose they are not safe they cannot prevent anything.

Women can eat them later.
