Is there a OnePlus 10 Ultra super flagship device in the works?

(Pocket Ribbon) – OnePlus has only recently announced the OnePlus 10 Pro, although there are now rumors of a more powerful variant of the device, the OnePlus 10 Ultra.

According to leaker Yogesh Brar (via 91 mobile phones), the OnePlus 10 Ultra would come with improved cameras, a faster processor and better hardware than the OnePlus 10 Pro.

It’s rumored that the device could arrive in the second half of 2022, but it’s not clear at the moment if it would replace the “T” models that are typically announced towards the end of the year. We are currently still waiting for the announcement of the OnePlus 10 Pro also outside of China.

Brar said the OnePlus 10 Ultra was the result of OPPO-OnePlus collaboration and technology sharing, and the OnePlus 10 Ultra is believed to run on OPPO-developed MariSilicon NPU chipset.

For the time being, of course, nothing has been confirmed, but an Ultra flagship from OnePlus does have legs, which means that it can compete with, for example, Samsung and Xiaomi, both of which have an “Ultra” smartphone. When the OnePlus 10 Ultra arrives, we expect it to borrow some design cues from the OnePlus 10 Pro, as well as the Hasselblad camera partnership.

For now, however, you can read everything about the OnePlus 10 Pro in our separate feature.
