(Pocket Ribbon) – Austrian brand Pro-Ject Audio Systems has teamed up with legendary metal band Metallica for a limited edition vinyl deck for rock lovers.

The Metallica Limited Edition turntable is molded around the band’s signature logo and is mirror-smooth for a reflective effect. The shell is made of glass to complete the aesthetic.

There’s also a diamond-cut aluminum subplate, using the same material used for the base and bearing of the S-shaped 8.6-inch tonearm. It is tipped with a pre-tuned, patented Pick it S2 C cartridge and SME headshell.

The deck also features gold-plated RCA connectors and height-adjustable metal feet.

The precise belt drive is mated to an electronic speed controller rated for 33 and 45 RPM, although a second belt is included for 78 RPM records.

Tracking force and anti-skating are fully adjustable.

The entire turntable measures 430 x 120 x 430 mm and weighs 4.5 kg.

“If you’re rocking vinyl on this deck, nothing else matters,” Pro-Ject said in a statement (referring to Metallica’s 1992 classic).

The Metallica Limited Edition turntable will cost £1,149 when it arrives in August 2022.
