As part of ETHdenver BUIDLathon, Parity Technologies is announcing a generous prize pool for both virtual and in-person participants.
The first phase of the hackathon, ‘Pitch the Next Polkadot Parachain’, offers 5 prizes of $1,500 each. The participants must create a pitch deck of up to 15 slides to create a high-level presentation of a product that could win the next parachain slot auction.
The second phase called ‘Build a Polkadot Parachain Using Substrate’ is for the online participants of ETHdenver. The applicants are required to write a full-fledged substrate-based L1 blockchain.

Two winners of the second phase will receive prizes of $5,000 and $2,500.
Urban Osvald, Developer Relations Partnerships Lead of W3F, emphasized that his team is excited about the opportunity to engage leading Ethereum (ETH) developers in Polkadot:
We are excited to be back at ETHdenver. It’s not only a refreshing change of pace to participate in an in-person event, but also to see how the entire Polkadot ecosystem has grown. We have over twenty hours of Polkadot content, from in-depth Substrate workshops led by Parity core engineers to dozens of ecosystem projects showcasing their technology in presentations, workshops and panel discussions. I am confident that ETHdenver will be a smashing success this year!
In addition to the bounty campaign, the Web Foundation (W3F) and Parity Technologies will host a series of educational events between February 15 and February 19.
