Send a Zoom invitation
To let people join your Zoom meetings, you need to send meeting invitations. You can do this before your scheduled meetings and even during a meeting. We’ll show you how.

Send an invite on desktop
To send a meeting invite from your desktop computer, first launch the Zoom app.
At the top of the zoom window, click Meetings.
On the “Meeting” page, you can see all your scheduled meetings. Click here on the meeting you want to invite people to.
The details of your meeting appear in the right pane. To copy the text here describing how to join your meeting (the meeting invitation), click the “Copy invitation” button.
To view the text of the meeting invitation before sending it, click the “View meeting invitation” option. In the screenshot below it says “Hide meeting invitation” because we already clicked on the option.
Now that your invitation has been copied to your clipboard, you can use email, instant messenger, or any other service to send invitations. With this SMS invitation, your recipient will have all the details they need to join your meeting.
To send invitations from a mobile phone, launch the Zoom app on your phone. Tap Meetings in the bottom bar of the app.
On the “Meeting” page, select the meeting you want to invite people to.
A ‘Meeting Details’ page opens. Tap the “Invite” button.
You will now see an “Add invitees via” menu. In this menu, select the app with which you want to send your invitation. To copy the invitation text to your clipboard, tap Copy to Clipboard from the menu.
Send your copied invitation however you like, and your recipient can join your meeting.

Send an invite on desktop
To invite someone to an ongoing meeting from your desktop, click ‘Participants’ in the bottom bar of Zoom.
At the bottom of the ‘Participants’ window that opens, click ‘Invite’.
You will see an “Invite” window. Here, to invite someone who is in your contact list, click on the “Contacts” tab at the top. Then type in the username and select it.
To send the invitation via email, click on the “Email” tab. Then select your email provider. When you click on a provider, Zoom opens that email’s site, composes a new email, and automatically pastes your meeting invitation. You can then define the recipients and send your invitation.
To copy a link to your meeting that a user can click to join the meeting, click the “Copy Invite Link” button in the lower left corner of the “Invite” window. To copy the entire invitation message, click “Copy Invitation” instead.
That is it.
Send an invite on mobile
To invite someone to an ongoing meeting from your phone, tap ‘Participants’ at the bottom of the meeting screen in Zoom.
On the “Participants” screen, tap “Invite” in the lower-left corner.
From the “Invite” menu, select the app you want to use to invite people to your meeting. To copy the invite link and manually send it to someone, tap Copy Invite Link.
Your recipient can click the link to join your meeting.
And that’s how you add people to your Zoom meetings by sending invitation messages!
