SHIB, MATIC, SAND, FTT Among Top 100 ETH Whales: Report

Several major altcoins including SHIB, ENJ, MATIC, etc. are on the list of top ten cryptos held by the largest Ethereum whales

WhaleStats crypto tracking service has shared a list of ten cryptocurrencies owned by the top 100 investors, who have the majority of their portfolios in Ethereum.

On that list are Shiba Inu (SHIB), Polygon (MATIC), FTX Token (FTT), Decentraland (MANA), etc.

According to the recent tweet published by WhaleStats, the top 100 Ethereum investors have smaller altcoins, but they have been trending recently.

Among them, there is the second largest meme-themed crypto token Shiba Inu (SHIB), FTX Token (FTT), Decentraland (MANA), The Sandbox (SAND), Chainlink (LINK), Enjin Coin (ENJ), etc.

Whales continue to expand their LINK stock. Earlier today, WhaleStats reported that several of the largest Ethereum whales have bought more than $22.9 million worth of Chainlink.

Among them was the “Gimli” wallet named after one of the main characters in JRR Tolkien’s world famous fantasy novel “Lord of the Rings”. This investor has also recently bought a large amount of Shiba Inu, as reported by U.Today.

The purchase took place last week, on March 3, when “Gimli” acquired 442,637,867,858 SHIB for approximately $11 million. After that acquisition, the top 5 Ethereum investor’s SHIB shares rose, according to the WhaleStats scale, to an astonishing trillion Shiba Inu.

600 million SHIB burned on April 3

According to the data shared by Steven Cooper, owner of Bigger Entertainment (one of the most active shib burners), the next SHIB fire party is scheduled for April 3. On that day, they plan to destroy 600 million meme tokens live on YouTube. ie send these tokens to a dead end crypto address.

The previous burn party took place on February 14 – when more than 240 million SHIB were burned. The project has been destroying SHIB since the end of October 2021.

Since the project started its regular token burns, a whopping 1,414,967,476 SHIB has been purged from circulating stock. The funds for these burn parties are raised by the company through its YouTube activity, mobile games, music playlists, etc.

Another major project destroying SHIB, @shibburn has reported that 17,708,469 Shiba Inu have been destroyed in the past 24+ hours. However, that’s only worth $395.

At the time of writing, SHIB is changing hands for $0.0002235, down 10.62 percent from the past week.
