The Metaverse Founders Club aims to unlock cross-metaverse interoperability to provide a better user experience

A growing interest in Web3 and metaverse development has sparked a schism. While there are many virtual experiences that users can explore, they all create gated communities. However, that will all change with the creation of the Metaverse Founders Club, a new project from Metametaverse and

Making a divided virtual world unbreakable

There is no shortage of projects building their metaverse or virtual world using blockchain technology. Different networks and tiers provide builders with the necessary tools to start creating their next-generation products or projects. However, there are many different worlds that cannot communicate with each other. It creates a long hallway of doors for players to explore, creating a less-than-ideal introduction to what the metaverse it’s all about.

The Metaverse Founders Club wants to change that situation for the better. It is a collaborative project where virtual world founders can come together to focus on cross-metaverse opportunities. The first example of such a global effort is a virtual scavenger hunt, set to launch later in June. Participants solve puzzles in one world to access the next metaverse, demonstrating the potential when interoperability is central.

Metametaverse CEO Joel Dietz explains why collaboration is key in Web3 development:

“You need dedicated people, honest people, hard-working people, people with vision and a willingness to adapt to market conditions and work beyond regulatory barriers. So in the end it’s all a people problem, and it’s hard to find all the qualities you’re looking for in one person or team.”

The Metaverse Founders Club will bring together teams from the many Web3 projects that are currently in development or will be developed in the future. The first members represent projects such as:, Space, Terra Virtual, GoDot, NFT Oasis, Spatial Web Foundation, and MetaverseTalks. Additional members are welcome if they are an executive or major owner of a metaverse or related technology used to set up a private member area and/or puzzle as part of a virtual scavenger hunt.

The Metaverse Founders Club Journey

With the help of these eight early members, the Metaverse Founders Club will promote interoperability between projects and virtual worlds. This, according to Joel Dietz, will help optimize the user experience for first-time visitors to the metaverse. If this technology is to gain mainstream traction, there needs to be a better user-centric pathway to explore different worlds, rather than forcing people to “get the right chain with the right wallet.”

Metametaverse CEO Joel Dietz states:

“Who wants to wake up in a metaverse future dominated by a few companies? We see this club as a space for an optimistic and collaborative future where hopefully together we will be able to build critical infrastructure to ensure the metaverse remains open, accessible and playful.”

The first Founders Club members meet quarterly and have a monthly consortium. All initial rules – the so-called statutes – can be updated during the consortium, with proposals being submitted and voted on three days before the meeting. The team will shift focus to the upcoming quest in virtual worlds and other cross-world games to increase the appeal of Web3 development.
