Will there be a season 2 of Lincoln Lawyer? This is what we know

(Pocket Ribbon) – The Lincoln Lawyer TV series – based on the books by Michael Connelly who also inspired Matthew McConaughey’s movie of the same name – hit Netflix in May and it’s excellent.

If you’ve played through all season 1 of Lincoln Lawyer and you’ve seen that last scene, you’re probably wondering if there’s going to be a season 2. We also. Here’s everything we know so far.

Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Release Date

At this point, Netflix hasn’t renewed the Lincoln Lawyer for a season 2, but we’d be very surprised if it wasn’t that the show has been in the top ten since its release and there’s enough material from Connelly’s six books to work with. Mickey Haller plays a central role.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 1 arrived on the streaming platform on May 13, 2022, so if a second series is announced, we’ll likely have to wait until Spring/Summer 2023 for it to hit our screens.

Nothing has been confirmed for now, but we’ll update this feature as soon as we hear anything.

How and where to watch Lincoln Lawyer season 2?

If there’s a season 2 of the Lincoln Lawyer, you’ll need your Netflix subscription to watch it.

With the first season a Netflix original, the second season will no doubt be limited to Netflix as well.

How many episodes will there be for season 2 of Lincoln Lawyer?

With no season 2 confirmed yet, this is all guesswork for now, but we expect season 2 to follow the first season.

The first season has 10 episodes, so it’s likely that all subsequent seasons will have 10 episodes or more. At this point, with no confirmation from season two, we’re assuming the answer to this question is currently none.

What’s Expected to Happen in Lincoln Lawyer Season 2?

Spoiler alert in this section, so skip this section if you haven’t completed season one yet.

With the first season adapting Michael Connelly’s The Brass Verdict, it’s possible that a second season could cover the third book called The Reversal, although that’s not guaranteed, of course.

However, the final scene of season one tied in perfectly with season two when it shot into a frame of someone who was surfing Mickey Haller. The person had a tattooed arm, suggesting that while Mickey was finally resting after his surfing accident and after he got Jesus Menendez out of jail thanks to Gloria Dayton’s (Glory Days) testimony, not everyone was happy about it.

Glory Days claimed that the person who attacked her and killed her boyfriend — for which Menendez was in jail — had a tattoo on his arm, so in season two Haller will no doubt have to deal with the fact that he may have gotten one man out of jail, but he’s put the spotlight back on whoever thought he got away with it.

However, there will likely be another overarching storyline as well, which will no doubt tie in with the district attorney’s office where Maggie McPherson – Haller’s first ex-wife – works.

Who is expected to be cast in season 2 of Lincoln Lawyer?

Of course, without confirmation of a second season, we don’t know who will be cast for it, but we can make a good estimate.

First off, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) will pretty much have to make an appearance for a second season to work, but it would also be odd for Lorna (Becki Newton), Maggie (Neve Campbell), Hayley (Krista Warner), Cisco (Angus Sampson) and Izzy (Jazz Raycole) not to return given all those characters who played key roles.

Here’s the full list of characters from the first season that we expect to return for a second season:

Is there a trailer for Lincoln Lawyer season 2?

No not yet. With no confirmation of a second season 2 at this time, it may be a while before we see a trailer for the next season.

However, you can watch the trailer for the first season below.

How and where to watch Lincoln Lawyer season 1?

All 10 episodes of the first season of Lincoln Lawyer are available to watch on Netflix. They last about 45 minutes each.

If you’ve finished it and want to dig your teeth into something else before we know if there’s a season 2 coming, then we recommend Bosch on Amazon Prime.

Also following Connelly’s books, LAPD detective Harry Bosch shares similar characteristics with Haller and the shows have a similar structure, but Bosch is also Mickey Haller’s half brother and the two share the same father, attorney J. Michael Hallerin, so there is a little extra fun fact for you.
